I think last time I cut something I marked a tube of Pringles with a pencil, then very slowly cut it with a Stanley knife.Peter Ballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07151357767975663350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7083167865623833339.post-69811662289908432112012-04-12T12:15:46.964+10:002012-04-12T12:15:46.964+10:00Pete; I drew a line down the side, and then placed...Pete; I drew a line down the side, and then placed the tube in a vice. I used a wood working tennon saw (that's the rectangular kind with the spine which means it doesn't bend) and tried to be accurate. Things didn't exactly work out perfectly, the bases are on slight angles.<br />A better alternative (which I don't have access to) would be a band saw, or a large miter saw which is on rails to make sure it doesn't go out of square. I did think of a miter box (one of those things with the slots you saw down through) but it was too small to accept the tube.Puddingwrestlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05028533494896159225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7083167865623833339.post-52717845599649820072012-04-12T02:39:43.089+10:002012-04-12T02:39:43.089+10:00i like it.......a lot!!!!i like it.......a lot!!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7083167865623833339.post-88615980591764152322012-04-11T22:15:58.959+10:002012-04-11T22:15:58.959+10:00Very nice work on those things. I tend to build up the earth at the sides to hide it when I use tubes to make buildings..Peter Ballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07151357767975663350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7083167865623833339.post-49618608345570219852012-04-11T17:18:35.765+10:002012-04-11T17:18:35.765+10:00Another wonderful and imaginative use of materials...Another wonderful and imaginative use of materials.
